Your Neighbourhood Camp was founded with a clear vision: to create a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment where children can grow, explore, and thrive outside of the classroom. Established by childhood developmental practitioner Ashley Hilton, the program is rooted in a deep understanding of child development and a passion for supporting families in the community.
Operating out of King’s University, Your Neighbourhood Camp offers a range of childcare programs throughout the year, including summer camps, PA Day programming, and March Break camps. Designed for children ages 4–12, the camp provides consistent, high-quality care during times when school is out, giving families peace of mind and children a place to belong.
Inclusivity is at the heart of everything the camp does. Every child is welcomed, supported, and encouraged to participate fully, regardless of their background or abilities. The program emphasizes community connection, working closely with local organizations, universities, and colleges to build meaningful partnerships that benefit both families and students.
A key strength of Your Neighbourhood Camp is its dedicated team of adult professional staff who bring experience, enthusiasm, and care to each program. In addition, the camp provides valuable opportunities for post-secondary students to gain hands-on experience in childcare and education, fostering the next generation of professionals in the field.
Through engaging activities, creative programming, and a strong focus on social and emotional development, Your Neighbourhood Camp delivers top-notch care while creating lasting memories for children. It is more than just a camp—it is a supportive community where children feel valued, families feel confident, and learning continues beyond the school year.
